The Week That Almost Broke Me (And How AI Helped Me Shift My Energy)

Hey, Love.

Let me start by saying this: this week sucked.

Picture this: two sick kiddos (one throwing up—my personal hell), leaky pipes that required ripping out walls, and a call from the teacher about a fight at school, all while balancing 10-hour workdays. And then the cherry on top—a flat tire yesterday.

Oh, and did I mention my husband (a.k.a. my rock) has been away for work all week, leaving me to juggle this adulting BS solo?

It. Has. Been. A. Lot.

By Friday, I’d cried so many times I lost count. On Saturday, during my 7-hour long flat-tire saga, I seriously wondered who in the world decided to put me in charge. I needed a real adult to take over, STAT.

My nervous system had been completely fried for days. And honestly? I hadn’t done much about it—other than daily self-Reiki for our 21-day challenge (thank God for that; it’s probably the only reason I was still somewhat standing).

I realized I hadn’t actually “failed” this whole experiment (despite very much feeling that way). My biggest failure was not taking care of my nervous system and energetic field in the midst of all this chaos.

Big feelings need a way to move through. Otherwise, they get stuck. And when they’re stuck, overwhelm digs in deeper.

In a swift attempt to break my fright-or-flight response cycle, I did something I’d never done before: I used AI to create a goofy little country song about my very shitty week. It’s absurdly boppy (given the content), and it made me laugh out loud.

Not only that, I also felt weirdly seen and validated by the lyrics:

“Mama’s bad week, no end in sight,
Everything’s wrong from morning to night,
Flat tire on the road, father’s miles away,
In this crazy storm, she still finds a way.”

Dancing around the kitchen to my ridiculous “Mama’s Bad Week” song (linked here for your listening pleasure) allowed me to begin reclaiming my energy. It put the experience outside of me.

It didn’t fix the chaos, but it shifted the energy of it all just enough to allow me to lightened up. To realize that, despite everything insisting on falling apart, I was still standing. 💪🏻

And, most importantly, it reminded me that I had the tools I needed to get through it if I just hit *pause*.

Life throws curveballs we can’t always dodge. The best we can do is move with them—letting the energy flow instead of holding it all in.

Here are some ways to move energy out quickly when life feels overwhelming:

  • Let It Out: Cry, scream, dance, write, sing, run, paint—whatever helps you release the pressure. (That silly song? Wildly therapeutic.)
  • Find Tiny Joys: Look for glimmers in the chaos—like the bear hug I received from a kind stranger in the parking lot.
  • Be Gentle with Yourself: Forget perfection. A messy house? Who cares. Survival is the goal. And you’re crushing it.
  • Call in Support: Lean on friends for venting, laughter, and biased reassurance that you’re still a good mom/human.

That last bullet is especially powerful. Adulting can seriously suck sometimes. But community can make all the difference when life gets extra heavy.

If you’re feeling drained, overwhelmed, or just in need of some you time, join our loving community at one of our upcoming self-care events. Whether it’s in community or 1:1 energy coaching, I’d love to help you hit pause so you can reconnect with yourself, balance your energy, and step away from the chaos for a moment.

We’ve got this, babe. 💪🏻

In Love, Light, and Healing, as always.
