The truth about spring cleaning đŸ§č (Hint: it’s not just for your home đŸ’«)

Hey, love.

Can you feel it? The days are getting longer, the snow is finally melting, and that first hint of spring air is starting to show up. đŸŒŒ

It’s the season of fresh starts.

Maybe you’ve already started thinking about spring cleaning—decluttering your space, swapping out winter clothes, or opening the windows to let in some fresh air.

But what about your energy?

Just like our homes collect dust over the winter, our energy fields get cluttered too. Months of heavy winter energy can settle in, leaving us feeling stuck, exhausted, or uninspired—even when the world around us is starting to bloom again.

And if you’ve been feeling drained, foggy, or like you just can’t shake that “blah” feeling—this might be playing a role.

Where Stuck Energy Hides

Stuck energy is sneaky. It often hides in places we don’t expect:

đŸ« Your Body – Unprocessed emotions (emotions are energy in motion!), physical tension, and trauma live here. If your chest feels tight, your gut feels heavy, or your shoulders are constantly tense, your body may be holding onto more than you realize.

🧠 Your Mind – Repetitive negative thoughts, old stories, and self-doubt can keep energy looping instead of flowing. If you’ve been replaying the past or feeling mentally drained, it may be time to shift your energetic patterns.

✹ Your Energetic Field – Sometimes, the heaviness isn’t even yours. If you take on other people’s emotions easily (hello, empaths), your energy may be clouded by what’s not yours to carry.

And just like opening a window đŸȘŸÂ freshens a room, your energy needs spring cleaning to help you feel lighter again. 🍃

A Simple Energy Clearing Practice

One of my favorite ways to release stagnant energy* is to offer it to our beautiful Earth to renew. Try this:

  1. Find a quiet place and close your eyes. Take a deep breath in through your nose, exhaling slowly through your mouth.
  2. Imagine roots growing from your feet and spine, reaching deep into the earth. You could even imagine your roots curling around a giant crystal if that feels supportive.
  3. Set the intention: “I release any energy that no longer serves me.”
  4. With each exhale, visualize stuck energy flowing down through your roots, releasing into the Earth.
  5. With each inhale, visualize supportive Earth energy flowing up and into your body.
  6. Stay here for a few breaths, feeling into your renewed energy.
  7. Leave your roots in place as you go through your day so you can access this energy exchange at any time.
