Friend, I have a confession: for years, I’ve offered my healing sessions out of other practitioners’ wellness spaces. It was a practical decision, I thought. But honestly? It kept me comfortable.
My nervous system liked the structure, steadiness, and low risk. But somewhere deep down, I have long held a vision of creating a healing space of my own – one that reflected not just what I do, but who I am called to be in this world.
Recently, the Universe gave me the nudge (read: kick up the ass) I needed, and the stars aligned in such a way that I couldn’t play it small any longer.
(Leap, and the net will appear, right?)
I’m so excited to share that I’ve just opened my very own healing studio on the second floor of Red Brick in Lewiston, NY! A soft, sacred space just big enough for one-on-one sessions. It’s a place where every detail – from the protea pillows (a nod to my South African roots), to the whimsical fairy lights and the sign that reads “Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come” – was chosen with intention.
A space to tend to your body, mind, heart, and energy in all the seasons of womanhood. A gentle space where you can find safety in your nervous system again, where you can release what you’ve been carrying, and where you can learn to trust and love yourself again.
So… what’s changing? A lot, in the best way.
✨ One-on-One Sessions — Reiki with sound, energy and grief coaching, and private yoga are now all offered from my private sanctuary at Studio #6 in Red Brick. This room is designed for you to soften, breathe, and be fully held. (View the studio tour on Instagram. It’s dreamy! 😍)
✨ Sound Baths — Our group sound gatherings have a spacious new home at Xochiyapa Yoga in the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, Niagara Falls, NY. It’s a beautiful, vibrant studio filled with good energy and a deep sense of community.
✨ Tender Circles — Our monthly women’s circles are now gathering at The Plant Shack in Lewiston, surrounded by hundreds of happy houseplants (you’ll exhale deeply the moment you step inside!).
✨ Tender Talks — As I am rooting deeply into the local community here in Western New York, I will be prioritizing in-person events in the New Year. The virtual TendHER Talks will likely shift to quarterly in-person or virtual conversations. I’ll share more as this takes shape. 😊
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to guide you along your healing journey. This, this is what I was made for.
This new space feels like a love letter to younger Vera who dreamed of this moment but didn’t yet believe it was possible.
And current Vera hopes that seeing me do the thing inspires you to take a big leap of your own. ☺️ If we’re going to stop playing small, we might as well do it together, right?
There truly is so much goodness unfolding, and I’m feeling deeply grateful.
In Love, Light, and healing,
